Privacy policy

DialUp Detox is provided by Tectonic Tourist LLC. This policy explains how the Android app, this website, and our support channel handle information. For privacy questions or support, email detox@tectonictourist.com.

With your approval, Android routes internet traffic from the current user profile into a local VPN interface while blocking is active. DialUp Detox briefly reads packet bytes into memory solely to discard them. It does not analyze packet contents, record browsing history, retain traffic logs, forward packets, or send them to an outside server or network. There is no remote VPN endpoint.

When an online session starts, the blocking tunnel is released and your apps use their normal internet connections. Those apps and their providers handle their own data. DialUp Detox does not provide remote VPN encryption or hide your IP address.

The app stores your chosen session duration, daily schedule and enabled state, consent and permission-flow choices, sound-mode choice, session deadline, a reboot counter used to invalidate stale sessions, and local error or status text. These settings are kept in the app’s private storage. Backup and device transfer of the settings are disabled.

The app does not transmit account details, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, or crash reports to us. It has no accounts, advertisements, analytics SDKs, or third-party runtime SDKs, and it does not request Android’s Internet permission. Sound only plays a recording bundled with the app.

• Alarms & reminders schedules session deadlines and daily start/end times.
• Notifications (optional) show connection status and a stop action.
• Foreground service, wake lock, and boot access support the session, local recording playback, and restoration of an enabled daily schedule.

These permissions do not cause the app to upload your traffic.

No packet history is retained. Settings remain locally until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Choosing Schedule… → Turn off blocker stops blocking and disables the daily schedule, while retaining your preferred times.

There is no app account or server-side profile to delete. You can withdraw VPN approval in Android Settings. The app does not sell user data or share it for advertising.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. If you volunteer to test, we may also receive your Play-account email, phone model, Android version, and feedback. We use this information to respond, manage test invitations, troubleshoot, and improve DialUp Detox.

Our email is handled through Google Workspace. Google Play manages its own tester enrollment and distribution. We retain correspondence only as needed for support, testing, security, or applicable legal obligations. You can email us to request deletion of information you voluntarily provided; we may retain information where required by law or to address an unresolved matter. Please do not send passwords, sensitive browsing content, or unnecessary personal information.

This policy page has no analytics, advertising, embedded third-party media, or contact form added by Tectonic Tourist LLC. Visiting a website still sends ordinary request information, such as an IP address, browser details, requested URL, and time, to its hosting infrastructure.

This page is hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting providers may process request and security logs to deliver and protect the page under their own policies. Our support email and Google Play also operate under their respective providers’ policies. These services are separate from the Android app’s local packet-discard function.
